Formula 1 | Mercedes wants to end 2024 on a high note with Hamilton

Mercedes is approaching the end of the season without major challenges for it since its 4th place in the constructors' championship is practically acquired with 3 races to go.

Without the possibility of returning to the top 3 and far ahead of Aston Martin F1, the German team will therefore continue to focus on its preparation of the W16 for 2025.

But starting in Las Vegas this weekend, things will start to get more emotional with the start of Lewis Hamilton's farewell tour to his team.

“We head to Las Vegas ready to take on the final three races of the season,” comments Toto Wolff, the director.

“We are focused on ending this year as strong as possible and on further highlights at the end of 2024. We look forward to the races to come, to ending our incredible adventure with Lewis on a high note and to creating a dynamic for 2025.”

“We can't wait to return to Las Vegas. F1 put on an incredible spectacle last year and seeing the F1 cars racing down the Strip at night was one of the highlights of the season.”

“The opportunity to drive at 300 km/h at such an iconic venue in a high-powered Mercedes-AMG GT R was one I couldn't turn down. So I was lucky enough to bring along some of our partners doing laps around the track at high speed and it was an experience that I won't forget, and I hope they won't forget, too.”

“The circuit itself and the surrounding conditions provided a fascinating challenge for the drivers and teams, while creating exciting racing and a captivating Grand Prix. I am sure that this year's event will be an even greater success and will build on the continued growth, interest and success of our sport in the United States.”
