“The trigger is this worrying information in 119 questioning a professional for physical and psychological violence,” confirmed to Le Figaro Lucie Vacher (EELV), vice-president of the metropolis in charge of early childhood. Cases of physical violence and negligence on certain children have come back.
Opening of an administrative investigation
The Metropolis of Lyon sparked an administrative inquiry in order to establish the various responsibilities. But already at the end of November, the PMI established a report in which it reported a “persistence of many dysfunctions” in previous months. According to the report quoted by Le Figaro, this establishment represented “an imminent danger for health, security, physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children welcomed within the establishment”.
