McLaren Racing has announced that Lessandro Alunni Bravi will occupy the post of Chief Business Affairs Officer (responsible for commercial affairs) from February 1, 2025. He will report directly to Zak Brown and will sit within the executive team of McLaren Racing.

This newly created position will allow Alessandro to ensure executive leadership in several aspects, including legal affairs, pilot development, management of pilot contracts, as well as relations with rights holders and governance bodies.

He will also take over the management of the pilot development program, succeeding Stephanie Carlin, who has accomplished remarkable work to advance this program in the last 12 months. Stephanie will assume new responsibilities within the team under the supervision of Andrea Stella.

With more than 20 years of experience in motorsport and business management, Alessandro recently held the Managing Director position of the Sauber group and Team Reprèsentitative for the Stake F1 team. He played a key role in strategic decisions, group development and strategic planning. Alessandro also held management positions at Grand Prix, Spark Racing Technology and Trident Racing.

In addition, after two years at McLaren Racing, the team confirmed that Steve Atkins, Chief Communications Officer (communication manager), will leave their position at the end of February for personal reasons.
