Lando Norris' Ferrari F40 involved in accident

A Ferrari F40 owned by Lando Norris was involved in an accident.

The ultimate symbol of the prancing horse brand, the Ferrari F40 remains one of the most iconic supercars in history. Produced in 1,311 units, it was the last Ferrari designed under the direct supervision of Enzo Ferrari, who died a year after its launch. Today, its value reaches several million euros, as evidenced by the sale of a low-mileage model for $3.3 million by RM Sotheby's in 2023.

Recently, an F40 was crashed in the UK, and shortly after, another was involved in an accident near Monaco. This is the one belonging to Lando Norris, but the McLaren driver was not at the wheel at the time of the incident. The accident, which occurred in early January, is believed to have occurred while Norris was in Dubai to celebrate the New Year.

A video posted on TikTok by Thanosofmonaco shows the car losing control, which hits a barrier. Several factors can explain this incident, including the response time of the V8 engine's turbos, a known characteristic of the F40. Additionally, the lack of electronic aids, such as stability control, makes this supercar more difficult to control.

However, the damage appears to be limited to the rear of the vehicle, and the F40 should be repaired without difficulty. Notable detail: the damaged model is equipped with custom Enkei rims, inspired by those of the rare F40 LM.

This is not the first incident involving an F40 in Monaco. Five years ago, another copy was completely destroyed by a fire in the streets of the Principality.
