Who says the beginning of January, says an obligatory trip to the other side of the world for the Australian Open. And after the French exploit in qualifying, Arthur Rinderknech wanted to cool us down as he should.

Arthur Rinderknech hits four aces in less than 1 minute at the Australian Open

Opposed to Frances Tiafoe in the first round, Arthur Rinderknech had a hard time facing the 17th player in the world. And it's not the first two rounds that will change his mind. The Varois is down two sets to nothing, but sounds revolt by winning the next round, and avoids Fanny. Then comes the pivotal fourth set. While he was trailing 3-1, Rinderknech got back on the American player, notably giving him an expeditious service game.

At 5-4 in the fourth set, the Frenchman slammed not one, not two, not even three but four consecutive aces. All in 49 seconds, an average of one ace every 12 seconds or so. Stunning. Good in the face, Tiafoe resists above all to stay upright in the stifling Australian heat.

While Rinderknech won the fourth set, against all expectations, it was the Varois who took the door, losing 6-3 in the last set. A quality comeback (7-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-7, 6-3).
