The 2025 MotoGP season has not yet started, but Marc Marquez can already count himself satisfied. Transferred to the official Ducati team after years of struggle at Honda, the 30-year-old Spaniard finally has a machine capable of competing with the best. For the driver, this new stage represents much more than a simple sporting challenge. “I have already achieved what I wanted. The goal was to try to extend my career and try to be competitive again. Then, if I win another title, it will be something extra in my pocket. But my main objective has already been achieved,” he confided.
“I will be at peace with myself”
After seasons marked by injuries and poor performances, the Catalan driver regains hope of a fight at the top, with his sights set on a seventh world crown which would place him on a par with Valentino Rossi. Although he recognizes the pressure inherent in this change of team, Marquez remains lucid and calm. “Of course when you do this kind of transfer you put a lot of pressure on yourself and there can be a lot of negative feedback if you don't get what you want. Now I know that in the future when I will retire, I will be at peace with myself because I have tried everything,” he explained.
