Requests from around the world to buy Bernie Ecclestone's F1 cars

Bernie Ecclestone, former big money maker of , has accumulated over the decades a spectacular collection of historic F1 cars, grouped mainly around his three favorite brands: Ferrari, Maserati and Brabham (the team he managed before become promoter of the world championship).

In total, the Briton has built up a single garage of 69 racing vehicles, all of course having exceptional traceability and history.

Tom Hartley Jr has been appointed to oversee the auction of the personal collection of these historic F1 cars. He claims to have received requests from all over the world, including two for the acquisition of all 69 F1s, systematically coming from two states. The collection is estimated at around 350 million euros, a drop in the bucket in Ecclestone's personal fortune, which amounts to several billion, but which represents strong symbolism as the 94-year-old businessman knows that these cars will no longer stay in his huge hangar and that they will represent a cumbersome inheritance at the time of his death, which he wishes to lighten his estate.

“We have received requests from all over the world: Hong Kong, Australia, Argentina and many from North America”Hartley told the Times. “We currently have two different individuals who have shown serious interest in purchasing the collection as a whole. Two very qualified entities, countries.”

“Bernie does not want the cars to be sold to speculators, that is, people who buy the cars with the intention of reselling them in the near future for some profit.”reveals Tom Hartley.
