As bosses, the Chelsea Blues achieved a solid result and finished at the top of the league phase. In front of the Portuguese from Guimaraes and the Italians from Fiorentina.

Unlike its big sisters Champions League and Europa League, which reserve eight days in the league phase, the Conference League experienced its big multiplex of the 6th day this Thursday, synonymous with qualification for some, elimination for others. Big favorite, Chelsea continued their flawless record (six victories) by crushing the Irish Shamrock Rovers at Stamford Bridge (5-1). Spanish striker Marc Guiu notably scored a hat-trick for the Blues and their “B team”, who qualified for the round of 16 of the competition as leader (see full ranking here).

Betis misses the top 8

Behind the London club, Guimaraes (Portugal), Fiorentina, Rapid Vienna, Djurgarden (Sweden), the Swiss Lugano, Legia Warsaw and Cercle Bruges secured the top 8. Unlike the Spaniards Betis Seville (15th), who will have to go through the play-offs (equivalent to the round of 16) despite their success against Helsinki (1-0).

In terms of those eliminated, no big surprise except the exit of the Turks of Basaksehir (26th), joined in the score at the end of the game by Cercle Bruges (1-1).
