Discharged from his coaching duties three days earlier, Olivier Dall’Oglio was officially dismissed by AS Saint-Étienne this Tuesday. The Greens are fighting to stay in Ligue 1.
Saint-Étienne and Olivier Dall’Oglio, it’s officially over. Both parties “reached an agreement to end their collaboration yesterday, Monday December 16”announces ASSE in a press release this Tuesday. Dall’Oglio was relieved of his coaching duties on Saturday, the day after a defeat at Toulouse (2-1). After 15 days out of 34, the Greens are 16th in Ligue 1 with one point ahead of Le Havre, first relegation.

Laurent Huard, director of the ASSE training center, succeeded Dall’Oglio on a temporary basis. According to The Team Norwegian coach Eirik Horneland is the priority of the Saint-Etienne leaders for the future. The Greens host Olympique de Marseille this Sunday in the 32nd final of the Coupe de France, then will return to the championship against Reims on January 4.
