The FIA formalizes the list of drivers for the F1 2025 field, without Lawson

The FIA has confirmed the official entry list for the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship.

Liam Lawson's name is missing, as the seat currently occupied by the New Zealander, and before him by Daniel Ricciardo, is listed as “TBC” (to be confirmed), while Red Bull leaves the world in the dark. expectant about his plans for Sergio Pérez. This crucially means that the Mexican has not been officially registered by the team as a starting Red Bull driver for next season in the mind of the Milton Keynes team and that his departure remains possible.

The Mexican insists he has a valid contract for 2025 and will be in the car, but his poor form – particularly late in the season – plus hints made by Christian Horner, Helmut Marko and even Max Verstappen suggest otherwise.

Apart from the mystery surrounding the driver of the second Red Bull, who will himself decide the fate of second place at “Racing Bulls”, the 2025 grid was already established.

The entry list confirms the race numbers that newcomers Oliver Bearman, Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan will wear.

Bortoleto will wear the number 5 previously used by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, while Jack Doohan has opted for the iconic number associated with another motorsport legend, Stirling Moss.

On its debut in Abu Dhabi, Doohan's Alpine wore the number 61.

While Bearman has worn the numbers 38 and 50 in his previous outings with Ferrari and Haas, he will wear the number 87 for his first season with the American team.
