Lewis Hamilton's adventure at Mercedes therefore ended after more than ten years within the German firm for the British driver. The latter, seven-time Formula 1 world champion, will drive for Ferrari from 2025 and his duo with Charles Leclerc promises a lot. But before starting this adventure with the Scuderia, Hamilton put an end to his time at Mercedes by bidding farewell to the team. He made a final stop by the Mercedes-AMG F1 factory, northwest of London, to greet the manufacturer's employees and the farewell was moving.
Emotional farewell for Hamilton
After 246 races, 84 victories, 78 poles, 12 years and 6 titles, Hamilton decided to leave Mercedes and therefore said a very emotional farewell. In images revealed on social networks, we can see the almost 40-year-old Briton (on January 7) parading on a convertible or aboard a van and receiving much applause as he passes. Surrounded by Toto Wolff, his loyal team boss, and George Russell, his partner for three seasons, Hamilton gave an inspiring speech to the employees, whom he took the time to thank. The farewell ended with fireworks for Hamilton, who will never forget his time at Mercedes.
