Will Max Verstappen be crowned in Las Vegas?

While there are three grand prix remaining in this 2024 season (Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi), Max Verstappen (Red Bull) has a first opportunity to win its fourth crown in a row since it has 62 points ahead on the Briton Lando Norris (McLaren).

As there are a maximum of 86 points remaining to be awarded before the end of the season, the Dutchman must therefore finish the Las Vegas Grand Prix with 60 points more than his rival. For that, he must finish in front Lando Norris or that Norris finishes 2nd and Verstappen finishes 3rd with the point for the fastest lap.

Other scenarios, Norris finishes 3rd and Verstappen 4th with the point for the best lap, Norris finishes 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th and Verstappen just one place. Finally Norris finishes 9th, 10th or scores no points.

Max Verstappen, who has won eight grand prizes this season, including the latest in São Paulo in Brazil, therefore has the opportunity to be titled again to enter the very closed circle of quadruple world champions that are Juan Manuel Fangio , Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
