: the Vélo Club du Velay to its advantage at the Ricamariea cyclo-cross

Run this Sunday afternoon in the Dramoison district in a freezing atmosphere, this rather atypical urban event attracts quite a few members of the Vellave club every year.

Engaged in U13 (youngest) Alban Fink will not linger with his four competitors. Very quickly at the forefront, he even had the luxury of picking up a few (minimal) U15s who left a minute before him. Leading at full speed on muddy but passable terrain, he completed his very clear quarter of an hour as a winner.

Among the U15s, Elio Arnaud dies at the foot of the podium after fighting like hell with his direct competitor without ever managing to overtake him, while Lysandre Schatz finishes 8th out of the fifteen starters, undoubtedly happy that the season is ending because visibly blunted after twenty minutes of intense effort.

In the last race, the large peloton of seniors and cadets alike set off for almost an hour of struggle. Cyril Arnaud, author of a very good start, will never leave the top 15, confirming his great progress since his relatively recent debut in the discipline. He is 14th out of the fifty-two competitors, his teammate Jérôme Vacher, a tireless competitor, secures a 35th position.

As a cadet, Mathis Ranc, still in the discovery phase, fell on the tarmac and blocked a wheel at the end of the race which forced him to finish running. Despite these setbacks, he took fourth place and had a lot of fun.
