A father and his disabled son evacuated from a burning house in Gers

The alert was given early in the morning in the east of Gers. A house was on fire. The firefighter intervention was still underway at 10 a.m.

The fire broke out in a single-storey house of approximately 100 m² has Maurens.

“A roof fire was confirmed by the first machine to arrive on the scene,” explains the Gers Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis 32).

A father and his disabled son were fortunately evacuated before the arrival of the firefighters, who intervened “massively”.Two pump machines, a ladder, an ambulance and a water carrier controlled by a group leader (i.e. 21 firefighters) were involved in this operation.
