The Jacques-Anquetil velodrome, better known as the “Cipale”will benefit from a renovation of its stands and stands. This track located in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes notably hosted the last stages of the Tour de France from 1968 to 1974. The Paris town hall announced on Tuesday that it would inject more than 1.2 million euros to renovate the Jacques-Anquetil velodrome.

Opened in 1896, the track located in the Bois de Vincennes hosted the track Cycling events of the Olympic Games of 1900 and 1924, but also those of football or rugby. The 500 meter long velodrome was also the place of arrivals of the Tour de France between 1968 and 1974, while the Parc des Princes was in full reconstruction.
