“It’s not something that was planned”
In a video, Amador explained the reasons for this choice. “The reality is that this year has been a difficult year, full of injuries, accidents, which have prevented me from cycling at the level I am used to. It wasn't an easy decision, it wasn't something that was planned, but that's how life and cycling are. Although I am retiring from professional cycling, I will always be linked to this sport that I love so much, I take with me indelible memories and the satisfaction of having given the best of myself.”he said.
“Throughout my career, I have had the honor of representing Costa Rica in the most prestigious international competitions, achieving things I would never have imagined, since my victory in the 14th stage of the Giro d 'Italia in 2012, until wearing the pink jersey in 2016. There will now be moments of rest. I take care of my health as much as possible to prepare for the next big surprise, thank you all. the conclusion Amador.
