The 50th edition of Essor Basque will take place from February 1 to 9, 2025. Several new features will be on the program for the event created and still organized by Christian Bibal.
The first round will end in front of the Dominique-Arnaud space, recently inaugurated in Tarnos, to pay tribute to the former professional runner and sports director who was also race director of Essor Basque. On Friday, in Saint-Palais, the finishing straight will be in the opposite direction as in 2024. For the first time, the Saint-Jean-de-Port round will end at the top of the Col de Gamia. On the last day, for the traditional Mauléon round, the race will end this time in the upper town, for another uphill finish.
