“Compete with the big guys like UAE and Visma”
Adria looks to the future with ambition. “I really want to come back to the World Cup”he said, speaking of Worlds of 2025 in Rwanda, although he admits that high altitude conditions will be a challenge. At the start of next season, he wants to concentrate on the Ardennes classics. “I would like to arrive in the Ardennes at my best level.” To prepare, he is considering races like the Tour of the Basque Country or the Tour of Cataloniaeven if he also hopes to discover second-rate Flandrian classics.
Regarding Rogliche refutes any idea of decline: “For me, that's absolutely not the case. Winning the Dauphiné and the Vuelta this season… At the Vuelta, he had his best performance. He was literally flying there.” Despite the domination of Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), he remains optimistic: “Pogacar may have been above Roglic in some races this season, but I'm sure my teammate hasn't said his last word.”
Adria believes in the future of the team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohewhich underwent a big change after the arrival of the Austrian sponsor: “I am convinced that with the arrival of Red Bull, the increase in the budget will allow us to compete with the big guys like UAE and Visma. The potential is enormous.” With one year of contract remaining, he hopes to extend and continue to progress: “What makes the difference is arriving at the sixth hour with more energy in my legs. That’s what I need to improve.” His dream remains to win great classics: “This is what I dream of becoming as a runner.”
