The Italian bicycle brand, Wilier Triestinaannounced that it was ending its collaboration with the WorldTour team, Astana Kazakhstan. Wilier Triestina and the team ofAlexander Vinokourov have been working together since 2020. The Astana team has more than 40 victories with Italian bikes, including prestigious successes like that of Jakob Birdsong au Tour of Lombardyor those ofAlexey Lutsenko and of Miguel Angel Lopez on the roads of Tour de France. This end of collaboration is partly due to the arrival of Chinese investors withinAstana Kazakhstanwhich should make the team ride with bikes from the brand XDSnew sponsor of the team.

“Five years of partnership…”
“Five years of partnership, over 40 victories, steep climbs, thrilling descents, triumphs and obstacles we have overcome together. As this successful partnership draws to a close, today we look back on our remarkable journey.” wrote the Italian brand on X. But it will not disappear from the WorldTour peloton however since the formation Groupama-FDJ always rides bikes Wilier Triestina.
