Foix. Adrien Maury French champion of the Future on track

Adrien Maury, from the Fuxéen guidon, was selected by the committee, alongside Chloé Fayard, Anaïs Rouanet, Perrine Fabre, Clément Mazars, Nolan De Reuter, Christophe Brioux, Maxence Lyonnet, Mathias Poczernin, Maël Hanse-Bigot and Samuel Serres, to participate in the French Track Championship of the Future, which was held in Loudéac (Côtes-d’Armor) from October 30 to November 3, 2024.

The velodrome of this Breton town is covered, with a 200-meter-long track, 46° inclined turns, and a wooden surface. Adrien was racing in the U19 junior category, against athletes who already had international experience. Thanks to the Foix velodrome, which allowed him to train without traveling, he quickly emerged among the French elite.

This championship of the Future offers speed and endurance events, notably the American race, over a distance of 14 kilometers. He took part in the elimination race where he took 4th place. During the team pursuit, composed of Adrien Maury, Christophe Brioux, Mathias Poczernin, Samuel Serres and Maël Hanse-Bigot, Occitanie won the bronze medal.

He concluded the championship in style, on Sunday November 3, during the American race, associated with Christophe Brioux (Villeneuve-Tolosane Cycliste). Together, they won this grueling event by taking a two-lap lead, becoming French champions.

Le Guidon Fuxéen will organize its ordinary general meeting on Saturday November 23 at 6 p.m., at the house of associations, boulevard François Mitterrand in Foix.
