Thibau Nys became 2024 European cyclo-cross champion this Sunday afternoon in Pontevedra, Spain. Nys is ahead of the surprising Felipe Orts Lloret while Eli Iserbyt takes the bronze medal.
Thibau Nys (21 years old) became champion d’Europe 2024 de cyclo-cross on the circuit of Pontevedra in Spain. Under bright sunshine and summer temperatures, Thibau Nys and the Spanish Felipe Orts Lloret manage to isolate themselves shortly after halfway. The two men get along wonderfully, so much so that they are never really worried by their closest pursuers who are Eli Iserbyt, Lars van der Haar et Niels Vandeputte. It is only in the last hectometers that Nys manages to take a few meters Orts Lloret to go and win his first European cyclo-cross champion title.
