after taking a slap from Alaphilippe, a team manager gets some good news

This is not a signature from Julian Alaphilippe but it is still very good news. Jean-René Bernaudeau, the boss of TotalEnergies, had tried everything to attract the double world champion to his training. But ultimately, the 2020 and 2021 world champion had decided to sign up with the Swiss team Tudor from 2025. Bernaudeau, director of the Vendée team, could therefore have big regrets regarding this slap but he has just record good news for the future.

His best runner of the season extends

Because it turns out that he recently recorded the extension of Emilien Jeannière, his most prolific rider of the year in terms of UCI points. Émilien Jeannière extended his contract until 2026. Very fit this season, he won the Belgian Cup and scored his first two professional successes on the Boucles de La Mayenne and the Tour of Istanbul. Having obtained 892 UCI points, he was the best rider in the TotalEnergies team this season and he therefore extended his time. “Author of a very successful season, our rider extends until 2026. The Team is proud to extend the adventure with Émilien Jeannière, he who shone this year with many great performances“, wrote TotalEnergies on social networks, welcoming this significant extension, which will allow the Alaphilippe pill to pass (a little).
