USSA Pavilly Barentin stops its N2 – News

USSA Pavilly Barentin, which has been playing in N2 since 2016, will not apply for a label in 2025. “We lost our main partner, ATMBindicates to DirectVelo President Michel Balcou. In August, we told the riders that we were going to have to make savings. And many quickly chose to leave (see here)it’s a shame… There was a lack of confidence. We therefore had no more runners, and our sports director (Lucas Lebreton) will also leave”.

“HELP THE CLUBS”

The Norman club will focus on training young people, with an Open 1 and 2 group. “We are mainly going to race in . There are young people who believe in us, and the community of municipalities will continue to support us.”

Michel Balcou regrets the situation in which amateur cycling finds itself. “The Federation wants amateur teams to professionalize but with what money? We must instead help the clubs, particularly in the implementation of “Know how to ride a bike””.

N1, N2, N3 and DN HOPES

Currently, “Saint-Aus’” is in 10th place in the DirectVelo N2 Challenge. In the Coupe de N2, he took 6th place. The season was marked by the accidental death last summer of Thomas Bouquet.

USSA Pavilly Barentin has experienced all the Divisions, N1, N2, N3 and even Espoirs. The Norman club has seen runners like Alexis Gougeard, Guillaume Blot, Rudy Barbier, Julien Duval, Jérémy Leveau, Etienne Piéret and Clément Saint-Martin pass through.
