Noel Gallagher designs Manchester City’s fourth kit, a ‘Definitely Maybe’ presentation

Merchandising – There’s no denying that Manchester City knows how to sell their shirts

This is nothing new. Noel Gallagher is a fervent Manchester City supporter, to the point of going to celebrate a victory in the dressing room with the players or finding himself in the visiting kop for a match at Fulham. The Oasis singer, who is reforming and will give several concerts in 2025, has taken it a step further. He designed, in part, the club’s fourth jersey.

“Manchester music legend and lifelong City fan Noel Gallagher has designed the font for Manchester City’s 2024/25 away kits,” the club said on its website. “His script will be featured on the back of the team’s shirts for all Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup matches.”

This fourth jersey, called “Definitely City” obviously pays homage to the album Definitely Maybe by Oasis released in 1994. Moreover, to make the connection all the way, an ad for the fourth jersey uses the album cover with guests, notably, Pep Guardiola or Ederson, instead of the Gallagher brothers.
