What exactly is “My Small Business”?

“My Small Business” is a project launched by 3 entrepreneurs and which aims to create 2 professional cycling teams (men and women) supported exclusively by PME (Small and Medium Enterprises) and whose objective is to ultimately integrate the WorldTour but also to participate in Tour de 2030. At the beginning of December, Simon Savreone of the founders, explained in the lines of The Team what “Cycling is a popular sport, we said to ourselves why not create a large collective, a network, forge links between economic players in the region and more generally in France? »

Vincent Lavenu: “An initiative that carries values”

“I come to encourage and support good people who have an initiative that I like, which carries values and meaning in cycling,” Lavenu explains to L’Équipe. I am doing this on the initiative of Emeric Ducruet and Michaël Amand, two people I know from the Chambéry region, business leaders, who launched this somewhat crazy idea. But they themselves being entrepreneurs and cycling enthusiasts, they combined the two, and as I like it, I join them initially on a voluntary basis, to share my experience, my story, and if I can help to create contacts, a network, I will do it. »

Vincent Lavenu: “Have thousands of partners and create a network between them”

“The idea is not to have one big title partner but thousands of partners who come to supplement this budget and create a network between them,” insists Lavenu. As is done in rugby for example, where certain large clubs have a thousand partners. It's really a rather attractive idea and one that deserves to be explored further over time, to show that all of this is possible. »

2026 objective for the launch of the Ma Petite Entreprise team

Ideally, the founders of “My Small Business” hope to be able to launch at least one of the two teams by the start of 2026. And the former manager of the team Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale to add “In April-May, we will have to have the level of commitments promised. Based on that, we will decide what type of team we are heading towards. I created my business 35 years ago, I lived all this time with young people who boost you and this is a new stage in my life, which will be different but which excites me compared to everything there is to do. »
