New year, new management team in sight for AG2R La Mondiale. The joint and mutual social protection group announced, Wednesday January 8, the departure of its general director, Bruno Angles. Benoit Courmont, deputy general manager in charge of the group's retirement savings activities, appointed interim general manager, temporarily replaces him.
This departure is not really a surprise: several unions had expressed their dissatisfaction with the group's reorganization plans during the summer of 2023 in a letter addressed to Mr. Angles, which had weakened the latter's position. And even if the chapter had since officially closed, it had left its mark within this group of 15,000 employees, present in health insurance, provident and life insurance, but also supplementary pensions through Agirc- Arrco.
His departure is “the logical continuation of what has happened since the letter”estimates Eric Gautron, confederal secretary of Force Ouvrière, while emphasizing that the functions of the general director end “without brutality”. At the CGT, Denis Gravouil judges that “It’s a good thing that Bruno Angles is leaving”explaining that“he had lost the confidence of the union organizations by defending projects which would have had the consequence of reducing parity within this group”.
