Marc Madiot: “The objective is simple: we will try to be good, even very good”

Historical general manager of the team, Marc Madiot delivered a speech during this presentation: “For a good number of years now, every January 1st for me has been the announcement of a new beginning. When you're a cyclist, it's a date that triggers something. When I was a runner, I made a point of taking my bike and doing a few kilometers on January 1st. It's a symbolic moment, we have to put our foot back on the pedals. It's also the moment when we reset the counter. whatever the performance that we achieved the season before So the counter is at zero, but I have good feelings in my legs, mentally I am not bad and the team is on good track.

Marc Madiot: “As my father said…”

“I went to the training in Calpe (in December, editor's note) and I saw beautiful things, guys who were talking, who were exchanging, who were discussing, who were training, who were helping each other. And the first feeling is often determining in the preparation of a season There is also another element which contributes to the collective, that is loyalty When we look at the squad, of course there are some changes, but there are. also people who invest in the DNA of the team, which makes it a different team from those you might encounter. At the moment, I see a lot of partners who arrive saying 'we come to win'. everyone is there to try to win, to have the best possible results, but there is one element that must not be lost sight of, we can all be beaten at one time or another. What matters is to be beaten. giving what you have to give, as my father said. 'you have the right to be beaten, but you don't have the right to be bad' So the objective is simple: we will try to be good, even very good and as a result, we will necessarily succeed. great and good results.”
