While the 2025 season will soon begin and some riders are still looking for contracts, Taco Van Der Hoorn is officially no longer one of these runners. Indeed, after several weeks of waiting, the Dutch rider has finally extended his Intermarché-Wanty for two seasons and is now linked until 2026 with the Belgian team. After suffering a concussion which sidelined him from the pelotons for 16 months, the stage winner on the Giro 2021 had found the platoons in August 2024 on the Leuven Tower and had even regained victory on the occasion of the Eleven Cities Race last October 2.

“Serving everyone who is going through a dark time…”
“I am very happy to have returned to my best form and to be able to look to the future with confidence. It's difficult to summarize all the progress made over the past eighteen months, but I hope my experience can serve as an example to everyone going through a dark time. I chose to continue my career at Intermarché-Wanty, because we share the same vision“, said van der Hoorn.
“My personal ambition fits perfectly with the team's objectives. I benefit from the full confidence of the sports directors in races where I believe I have a good chance of achieving a good performance. Furthermore, thanks to the good atmosphere in the team, I always have a good time in the race, which is an important factor for me. Finally, we have very competitive equipment. I feel involved and listened to in the development of our material”he added.
