The morning rain does not stop the pilgrim…

The storm and the rain had stopped a few minutes before the departure at 9 a.m. that Sunday. The 56 runners set off for a 2 km climb with passages at 20% (at Sémaphore and Citadelle). An ascent for strong people with beautiful landscapes in the background, and the pilgrim runners after long minutes of suffering arrived at the summit in front of the Notre Dame de la Salette Chapel at the top of the Mont Saint-Clair.

Mont Saint-Clair… myth of the Tour de and the GP Midi-Libre

Nicolas Grossothe president of Sétois Sports Handlebar recalls that this rise is associated with Tour de France with for example the passage in 2012 to the summit of Mont Saint-Clair on the same route during the Saint-Paul-trois-Châteaux – Cap d’ stage. This day, July 14, is Jurgen Van Den Broeck who had crossed the summit classified in 3rd category in front of Cadel Evans while Bradley Wiggins wore the yellow jersey. And for years the Midi-Free Grand Prixwhich disappeared in 2002, served as a rehearsal for the Tour de France.
