Tuesday October 29, Mohamed DILMI, Deputy Mayor in charge of Youth and Sports, represented the City of Lourdes at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, to attend the official presentation of the Tour de France 2025 route.
Labeled “City by bike” of the Tour de France and “Land of Cycling”, the City of Lourdes will have the honor of appearing on the route of this 100% French edition, on Saturday July 19, 2025.
This 14th stage, “designed on the model of the 1986 edition” declared Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour, will connect Pau and Luchon-Superbagnères, a legendary resort, legendary summit of the Tour, after 39 years of absence.
This 14th stage promises a high-intensity day with 183 kilometers where the runners will first face the formidable ascent of the Col du Tourmalet via Luz-Saint-Sauveur (19 km at 7.4%), followed by the road to the pass from Aspin via Payolle (5 km at 7.6%). The climb of Col de Peyresourde via Anéran (7.1 km at 7.8%) before arriving on the demanding climb of Superbagnères (12.4 km at 7.5%).
