The very good form of the Swiss Marc Hirschi continues. After his victory at the Classic San Sebastian and to the Bretagne Classic last August, the runner of the training UAE Team Emirates won this Sunday on the Agostoni Cupin front of two French people: Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ) and the French champion Paul Lapeira (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale), who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Over a 167 km course, the Swiss won his ninth victory of the season.

Marc Hirschi was the strongest today.

After the very good work of his team (UAE Team Emirates), the Swiss attacked for the first time 50 km from the finish in Colle Brianza, quickly isolating himself with a small group. The decisive attack which formed the final group came 41 km from the finish, in the ascent of Lissolo. Marc Hirschi escaped with Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), Paul Lapeira (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) and the Spanish champion Alex Aranburu (Movistar Team), who fought for the final victory in Lissone after resisting the return of their pursuers in the final. After his 6th place in the World Championships in Zurich, Marc Hirschi wins for the first time in his career the Agostini Cupsucceeding the Italian Davide Formolo.
