A peloton reduced to around thirty riders competed for victory in the final of the 4th stage and “queen stage” of the CRO Race. And it is Tobias Lund Andresen who has established himself in power, like a real puncher! After holding on in the main difficulty of the course, the young Dane from Team dsm-firmenich PostNL presented himself as one of the favorites for the hill sprint, contested in a small group, and he perfectly met expectations by achieving his sixth success of the season.

“It’s not me who won today, it’s my team”

“It’s incredible, I didn’t really expect it”said Andresen on arrival. “The team placed a lot of confidence in me. It wasn’t me who won today, it was my team. From the plans we made before the start, to managing the pace in the climb and my teammates who brought me back, I would never have been there without them Today I had confidence in what we were trying to do I was dropped from afar on the big climb, but. the guys stayed with me and brought me back I think it was one of the best days I had on a bike. In the end I knew I had to follow my own pace on the cobbles. because I had done the race last year, so I knew what to expect. When you see the finish line and you are a sprinter like me, you no longer feel your legs and you go. so happy to have been able to conclude like this.”
