The Eritrean runner, Kudus Merhawihas just signed up with Burgos-BH from Conti training, Terengganu Cycling Team. The African has played for 8 seasons at WorldTour level. Having passed through -Dried Environment, Merhawi had then joined Dimension Data, Astana Then EF Education Easy-Post. At 30, the climber has become an experienced rider who will be able to greatly help his new Spanish team in its quest for UCI points.

After a good season with Terengganu Cycling Team, I am very happy to return to the professional peloton next year with Burgos-BH. I am very grateful to be given this opportunity. I am very excited and looking forward to joining the team to demonstrate my potential.” said Merhawi, 2nd in the Tour of Japan this season.

Merhawi is a top-level and very complete cyclist. He is primarily a climber, but he also does well in time trials and has good speed. He has many years of experience in the WorldTour and has participated in the three major tours. We have been following him for a few months and we think he will bring us a lot in the stage races.” added the sports director, Damien Garcia.
