The Plateau Rose, a pirogue race between students and restaurateurs, is back for a second edition. While the event’s primary goal is to be entertaining, the Plateau Rose can also serve as a job fair.

On Sunday, September 22, the Port de la Daurade will be transformed into a real nautical job fair. Restaurant owners, students and also individuals will be able to compete in a pirogue race on the occasion of the Plateau Rose, organized by B & C Events.

Like last year, the event aims to highlight the employment crisis faced by the restaurant sector since 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic. In response to this crisis, the Plateau Rose aims to bring together students looking for work with restaurateurs, all in an atmosphere of “cohesion”, “sharing” or even “surpassing oneself”.

For Brigitte Morhain, co-founder of B & C Events, the idea of the Plateau Rose was born thanks to the media “after Covid, the audiovisual and written press media highlighted an implacable observation which was that the catering sector was experiencing a real employment crisis.”

Compared to the previous edition, the choice was therefore made to open the doors of the event to no less than five schools in order to allow students to discover the catering professions as a waiter.
