Bernard de Launoit, master of the Queen Elisabeth Chapel, has died

He had been battling the disease for 6 months.

VSn a press release, the Queen Elisabeth Chapel made public this Thursday evening the death of Bernard de Launoit, its CEO and Executive President.

“On March 23, Bernard left us, surrounded by his family, from an illness against which he had fought with all his might for 6 months. An exemplary fight,” the statement said. “The Music Chapel is losing a charismatic, inspiring leader, with a keen intelligence, constantly looking for new projects and working to the end for our institution. (…) The Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Masters in Residence and the entire Music Chapel team are deeply touched by this loss. Our thoughts go out to his wife, children, family and friends of Bernard. His figure, his sure steps and his smile will be missed. »
