Among the many guests at this solemn presentation by the regional delegate of the Bern mission, Patrice Genet, the godmother of this association, Hélène Nougaro, Claude’s wife, wanted to be present. “I really enjoyed this moment. Both I and Claude really liked the mills. I have come here several times and I am sure that my husband would have been there to accompany me. I would also like to praise the work of Pierre Armengaud who don’t count your time in order to successfully complete the renovation of this water mill, witness to so much history and which still keeps the sawmill running.”

A moving speech which was punctuated by the reading of a song written by her late husband in 1976 and which paid homage to this water, an essential element for all kinds of life: “The song of the desert”. We renovated this small house in the center of the village and, for three years, with a manager in place, I was able to reopen the adjoining café which gives a second wind to the village. I really like these Hautes Corbières and I come there regularly from Toulouse.
