Since the end of October, the anchor of ICI RDI, Julie Drolet (see her photo here), has been absent from the airwaves. In doing so, viewers have been asking questions for quite a while.
Now the main interested party addressed the listeners through her social networks, to explain the situation.
In doing so, she explains that she had to step away from the airwaves to take care of her health.
She first writes: “ I’ll give you my news.
Many people ask me where I have been since they no longer see me on the air. I wanted to remain discreet and not bring the ordeal I am experiencing out into the open. I first had to overcome the shock of the diagnosis, accept it, find the courage to face this illness and begin a long and difficult treatment.
I don’t want to say more because I want to experience this intimately, with my family and close friends. I don’t want to get distracted and lose my focus: treating myself, keeping my morale strong and healing. »
-She also addresses her return to the airwaves in these words: “ When will this return take place? Difficult to give a date. I am in the middle of treatments, there will be several stages and it all depends on the results. Those who have been there know this very well. But I plan to come back. My colleagues have become family, it is a deep bond of friendship and respect. The viewers that I have been informing for several decades are also like an extended family, many of them with whom I have had more personal exchanges for years. Valuable feedback in this work where I put all my heart and energy.
I miss my life. I miss my work. I miss you. Have a good thought for me and give me time to heal and come back to inform you with all the ardor that you know me to have when I have crossed this Everest. »
