To mark the 35th anniversary of the King’s Foundation, King Charles III inaugurated a time capsule containing personal objects, which will not be revealed until 2125. A symbolic initiative marking his commitment to the future.

The 35th anniversary of the King’s Foundation, created in 1990 by Charles, then Prince of Wales, was celebrated this Wednesday, January 15 at Dumfries House, Scotland. This iconic estate, which houses the foundation’s legal headquarters, has hosted high-profile guests such as singer Rod Stewart, his wife Penny Lancaster, and presenter Alan Titchmarsh, all ambassadors for the foundation.

Founded to support educational, environmental and cultural projects, the King’s Foundation has become a major player in a variety of sectors. It is particularly involved in education, sustainable agriculture, traditional arts, health and urban planning. More than 15,000 students benefit from its nature-based education programs each year, at venues including Dumfries House, Highgrove Gardens and Mey Castle.

These objects testify to his attachment to nature and its vision for a sustainable future.

Through the King’s Foundation, he continues to promote values and projects that he hopes will have a positive impact on the world in the long term.
