The play “Middle Class”, a viral success of these ex-candidates of “La Voix”

The Classe Moyenne collective, in which we find former participants of The Voice has been enjoying success since releasing her self-titled song in December. In less than two weeks, the group has already received dozens of invitations for summer festivals.

The song Middle classunveiled on December 27 on digital platforms, has already accumulated 200,000 downloads on Spotify and Apple in addition to thousands of plays on TikTok and Instagram.

“We knew we had a song that was quite “up to life”, then a song that could really bring Quebecers together, ultimately it really exploded […] To see the reactions, to what extent people were on board, that they want more… we have our emotions running high,” explains Gabriel Fredette, who became known at The Voice in 2024.

Gabriel adds that he wants to make music that brings people together, is generally festive and in which the public finds itself.

The instant success of the song has already opened several doors for them. “We received around fifty requests for festivals and we have some great projects that should be implemented, there will be an album, new songs, that’s for sure,” reveals one of the members of the collective, Zach Chico .

A project born in a studio

The story of the group begins in the studio of producer Benjamin Nadeau, former participant of Mixmania 3 having already collaborated with Marc Dupré and Ludovick Bourgeois.

“We found ourselves in Benjamin’s studio and decided to make a song, which was released last year. Since then, Classe Moyenne has become a beautiful family,” says Justin Roy.

“We want to give Quebec what they want, music, experiencing emotions through music,” explains Gabriel.

A member of Star Académie

Katrine Sansregret, member of the collective, having already joined Marc Dupré’s team at The Voicewill participate in the first variety of Star Academy 2025on January 19.

“It’s a big piece that we’re going to miss. We wish him the best. We will encourage and support her in this as much as we can,” confides Justin Roy, also the singer’s spouse.
