Los Angeles is devastated by 5 different outbreaks, which have not yet joined together.
In total, the fires have already burned nearly 36,000 acres, which corresponds to 14,500 hectares, or 145 km2.

The second (55 km2), the Eaton Firehits Altadena, an eastern suburb of Los Angeles. These two fires are still out of control, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (Cal Fire).
Three much smaller homes, the Kenneth Fire (4 km2), the Hurst Fire (3 km2) and the Lidia Fire (1.6 km2), are more controlled, contained at 35%, 37% and 75% respectively.
On the other hand, three minor outbreaks, the Sunset Fire, the Woodley Fire and the Olivas Fire, were quickly brought under control by firefighters.
