After being evacuated from Pacific Palisades, the neighborhood where he lived, the actor was relieved to see his home spared from the flames.
The fires that hit Los Angeles on January 7 ravaged the city, affecting many families, including those of celebrities. Among the familiar faces, Ben Affleck, who had been evacuated from his home in Brentwood, located near the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, was forced to take refuge for a few days with his ex-wife and mother of his children, actress Jennifer Garner .
On Saturday January 11, the actor was photographed in front of his home with his daughter, Violet, 19, happy to see that his walls remained intact. Visibly relieved and united in the chaos, the duo was very affectionate. Ben Affleck, dressed in gray jogging pants, held his daughter tightly in his arms, the latter having her face covered with a surgical mask, surely to protect herself from the toxic fumes of the fires.
A former united couple
Following the devastating fires in the country, Ben Affleck had indeed found refuge with Jennifer Garner. This decision demonstrates their solidarity and their bonds that are still strong despite their separation in 2015. Together, they had Violet, Fin (16 years old) and Samuel (12 years old). After several days of fear and panic, the former couple are now reassured to see that each of their homes was spared.
However, the actress had to deal with a much more painful loss. Interviewed on January 10 by the MSNBC channel, while she volunteered to help the victims of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood following the fires, the latter revealed the tragic loss of her friend. “I lost a friend,” she said, explaining that she “couldn’t get out of the house in time.” Without revealing the identity of the latter, she nevertheless specified that she met her through her church. Reassured to see her family safe and sound, she mourns his disappearance.
