Jennifer Lopez cancels all media engagements in support of victims

Starring in “Unstoppable”, Jennifer Lopez has made the decision to cancel all her media engagements in support of the victims of the fires hitting Los Angeles.

Not in the mood for promotion. While the city of Los Angeles has been ravaged by flames since Tuesday January 7, Jennifer Lopez has decided to suspend promotion of her new film “Unstoppable”, expected on Amazon Prime on January 16. The actress canceled all her media engagements, in support of the victims.

“It’s important for her to focus on supporting the Los Angeles community during this very difficult time,” a source told People magazine. The 55-year-old star was scheduled to appear on a long list of talk shows in New York, including the famous “Tonight Show” hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

This announcement comes as Tuesday, January 7, the premiere of the film “Unstoppable”, with Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale and Jennifer Lopez, which was to be held in Los Angeles, was also canceled, this time for security reasons.

The fires that have struck the outskirts of the city since Tuesday, including the Pacific Palisades district, have claimed the lives of at least 16 people according to the latest report. This Saturday, January 11, the fires spread to areas that had until now been spared. More than 150,000 people were evacuated and thousands of homes were completely destroyed.
