The stunning images of the Las Vegas Sphere and its XXL screen for UFC Noche

For the first time in its history, the UFC took up residence at the Sphère for UFC Noche on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Las Vegas (on RMC Sport). Spectators present in this futuristic arena with more than 18,000 seats were able to discover a crazy show on a huge curved screen.

MMA and Mexico lovers must have been delighted. Like every year, the UFC celebrated Mexico’s independence at UFC Noche on Saturday night in Las Vegas. But for once, the event awaited by an entire country took place at La Sphère. If you’ve never seen this ultramodern arena with a capacity of 18,600 seats, imagine a huge round room 112m high with 54,000 m2 of LED pixels on its external surface. Inside, a gigantic, curved and immersive screen of 15,000 m2 of surface area. Quite simply the largest in the world. Inaugurated last year for a U2 concert, the arena had never hosted an MMA evening before.

A futuristic show

The fans were not disappointed. On the UFC 306 program, Mexico was logically in the spotlight with the broadcast of a film retracing the history of the country in six chapters. Enough to give the spectators goosebumps, no doubt more dazzled by this futuristic show than by the two fights for the belt, without great brilliance, between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso then between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.

While he was pleased that the event brought in new fans, Dana White didn’t really appreciate the spectacle in the cage. “I hope they turn it off before the co-main event,” the UFC boss said with a smile.
