Patrick Puydebat (“The Mysteries of Love”) looks back on the beginnings of his story with Hélène Rollès

On May 11, 1992, French viewers discovered Hélène, Nicolas, Christian, Johanna, Bénédicte, José and Laly for the first time on their screens in the sitcom Hélène et les Garçons. They probably had no idea that these characters would become the heroes of their youth and that their story would span several generations, and be the subject of different sequels (The Miracle of Love, The Holidays of Love, and The Mysteries of Love). The actors, who were just starting out in the profession, were propelled to the rank of national stars very quickly. This created friendships between them. Couples have been made and broken. Hélène Rollès, the main heroine, and Patrick Puydebat, who played Nicolas, lived a romance in real life.

Their personality differences could have made their relationship complicated, but the two young actors of the time adapted, to the point that they came to fall in love. “She was very professional, super serious.
