Medi Sadoun, Alice Pol, Louise Monot, Eric Antoine, Shirley Bousquet, François Bureloup, François-Xavier Demaison, Eric Collado, Antoine Duléry but also François Berléand… all are on the bill for Santa at home on M6. A TV movie right on the theme of this month of December. As the gifts begin to take their place under the tree, there is one who has more budget this year to please his loved ones. This is François Berléand who left aside an unfortunate financial habit.
Interviewed by our colleagues from TV Starthe father of 4 children – Martin (born in 1978), Fanny (born in 1983) and the twins Adèle and Lucie (born in 2008 from his relationship with Alexia Stresi) – had answered a question about his hyperactivity. It is true that he tours a lot for several reasons. He explains: “When we shoot, we don’t think about death. There is also the anxiety of emptiness. Time flies so quickly… I want to make the most of my days. Plus, when I’m not playing, I’m exhausted and feel a little lethargic.“And then we must not deny it either, working is also earning a living. He continues: “For a long time, before withholding tax, I spent what I earned before paying my taxes, and so I had to plan ahead. Today I function differently, but I still work.” A wise decision which certainly allows him greater financial comfort.
François Berléand’s house, a financial pit
François Berléand also recently had to face a real estate problem which caused him to lose a lot of money. In the show The Agency broadcast in 2023, viewers discovered that his farm in the Basque Country, under construction for years and in a disastrous state, was not selling. “I was promised extraordinary things and the companies that worked with them all went bankrupt one after the other. The partners blame each other. Afterwards, another company came and said they would take care of me. That was before confinement and I’m still waiting for them“, he explained. An investment which had cost him around 850,000 euros for a possible resale at 450,000 euros. An unimaginable financial loss for François Berléand. A few months later, we learned that the actor’s property was ultimately to be sold. “I bought it for 320,000 euros and had work done for 520,000 euros. I still lose money but I have limited the damage. From now on, I will just rent“, he confided to TV 7 days.
Here again, as with taxes, François Berléand is now relying on caution!
