It’s a sequence that went viral on social networks. On November 10, 2022, on the set of the show “Touche pas à mon poste”, Cyril Hanouna violently attacked the young LFI deputy Louis Boyard. “Public insults” for which the C8 host must be judged, this Tuesday, December 17, at the Paris criminal court.
During the show, Cyril Hanouna had insulted his guest, and ex-columnist, several times, when the latter had mentioned the deforestation caused by the African activities of Vincent Bolloré, the owner of Canal + and C8.

“Hey Louis, you came here because you wanted to make a splash (…) Stop telling it to yourself, elected or not elected, I don’t give a damn. You think I'm afraid of you! (…) I received more people from the Nupes here, than Zemmour, hope stupid! If you are an MP, it's thanks to us. (…) You are an idiot,” Cyril Hanouna said to Louis Boyard.
The MP immediately filed a complaint against the host for “public insults”, an offense punishable by a fine of 12,000 euros. The legal standoff between the two men was initially scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 12 at the Paris Criminal Court/
But Jade Dousselin, Louis Boyard's lawyer, had requested a postponement of the trial, being held at another hearing on the same day. The court accepted this postponement request and set a new date for Tuesday, December 17.
The C8 channel has already been sanctioned for this sequence in February 2023. Arcom, the audiovisual policeman, had imposed a fine of 3.5 million euros on it for “infringing the rights of guest” and “lack of control of one’s antenna”. A decision confirmed this summer by the Council of State. For his part, Cyril Hanouna filed a complaint against the France Insoumise MP, Louis Boyard, for defamation.
