Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique, was crowned Miss France 2025, this Saturday evening at Futuroscope in Poitiers. She succeeds Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024. She is the oldest Miss in the history of the competition.
A new queen is born. Aged 34, she had already made history by being the oldest candidate in the competition. She is also the first Miss Martinique to win the crown.
She said: “Tears of joy, it’s an honor to stand before you. I told the people of Martinique that we would do it together, we did it together.”
The Martinican was able to convince the jury and the public with her jovial behavior but also her altruistic and human speech. She notably told on stage that her mother survived breast cancer, a cause that she particularly defends.
A flight attendant, she also made several references to her profession in her speeches. The one who is from Fort-de-France was able to benefit from the overhaul of the competition rules which now authorizes applications from women over 24 years old.
