Miss France 2025: Miss Martinique, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, crowned
The most beautiful one to go dancing was her. Saturday evening fever has taken hold of the Martinican Angélique Angarni-Filopon, crowned Miss France 2025 by the one who preceded her, the Northerner Ève Gilles, at the end of an evening on the theme of dance. The first representative from her island to win, the 34-year-old also becomes the oldest winner of the competition. “There is no age to make your dreams come true”she insisted in her portrait at the start of the show, saying that between the Misses and her, the story was not new.
13 years ago, Angélique Angarni-Filopon won the sash of first runner-up during the Miss Martinique election. A failure which did not prevent her from getting back in the saddle as soon as the national competition lifted the age limit previously set at 25 years. From his confident first steps on the stage of the Arena Futuroscope to his highly applauded speeches, a look back at the evening that changed his life.

Some of the viewers had never seen the candidates before this first table. The thirty contenders for the crown launched their ceremony to the rhythm of the greatest disco hits. Perhaps you have noticed Angélique Angarni-Filopon. One thing is certain: you couldn't have missed Jean-Pierre Foucault descending from the ceiling wearing a sequined jacket. If you missed it, the replay is just above.
Fan des 60’s

It was better not to miss the start of the ceremony because the future winner presented herself to the public and to the jury chaired by Sylvie Vartan with the first group of ten candidates. The opportunity for the young woman to return, in her portrait, to her unpublished history with the Misses but also to show her dancing talents. This year more than others, the candidates took up the challenge of very complex choreographies for novices.
At the (almost) masked ball

It blew like a little July air in the heart of December. A cult part of the competition for years, this year's parade of regional costumes took place on the theme of the firefighters' ball in the presence of special guests. Paris firefighters, who had already distinguished themselves during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this summer, accompanied the Misses for this painting recorded the day before the ceremony. Angélique Angarni-Filopon stood out with a large white hat matching her white dress, both by Rebecca Misat.
Back to the 90’s

Most of the candidates were not born when the hits punctuating this table were released. A love letter to the musical gems of the 90s, the swimsuit parade had the 30 regional Misses dancing to the Spice Girls, Corona and even Eiffel 65. Enough to also make an involuntary nod to the year of birth of Miss France 2025.
The sentence that hit the mark

In recent years, it has become a pivotal moment in the ceremony. The one where you can win but also lose a title. The Misses' first speech at the announcement of the top 15 recorded the audience peak of the evening. The pressure is great but Angélique Angarni-Filopon did not tremble. She joined the semi-finalists halfway through to discuss her own in the world of beauty queens. The thirty-year-old came to represent her Martinique but also and above all “all the women who were once told that it was too late”. An outing highly applauded by the Arena Futuroscope and the members of the jury.
A tango in Poitiers

Slit dresses and hair in a ponytail – except for Miss Martinique's short hair, the 15 semi-finalists could not have found a more appropriate dance to launch their seduction operation with the jury of personalities and the public, whose votes therefore each counted as half. Tango also requires certain confidence, which our new Miss France does not lack.
The demon's salsa

“Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Martinique!” Miss Universe aficionados will have found the reference. Each of the Misses still in the running introduced themselves by shouting their name and that of their region, as is the case during the international beauty contest. A sequence which also recalled the heyday of the Victoria's Secret fashion show with its swimsuits adorned with large feathers on the back. Add to that the fact that the semi-finalists finished dancing the Macarena and you will obtain one of the most joyful scenes of this 2025 edition.
Star dancers

A step from two to five. The finalists donned less imposing dresses than usual to pay homage to classical dance. At 1.83 m tall, Angélique Angarni-Filopon could have done arabesques with much more amplitude than her comrades if she had been asked to do so. But the Misses had to take on another challenge in the process.
The public question

If the speech of the top 15 is essential, that of the top 5 can completely prove eliminatory. Submitted by viewers, the questions are asked by former Miss France. “Why do the French like the competition so much?”asks Clémence Botino, elected in 2020, to Miss Martinique. His response, the best constructed of the panel, can be found above.

She displayed a stupefaction like Cindy Fabre, director of the competition, had rarely seen. Angélique Angarni-Filopon spoke of a “blackout” at a press conference to explain that she had already forgotten the moment that made her Miss France 2025. Here are the images that the Martinican will see again all her life.
