On October 3, 2021, Bernard Tapie died from cancer, leaving behind his wife Dominique after 52 years of living together. Since that day, the businessman's widow has been drowning in debt due to the dispute between her husband and Crédit Lyonnais in the Adidas affair. Since the death of her husband, Dominique Tapie has been able to count on the support of relatives like Jean-Louis Borloo, who found her new accommodation when she had to leave the Parisian mansion in which she was staying. “And I have other very close friends who help me”she confided.

Today, Dominique Tapie leads a lifestyle very different from the one she had known in the past. Faced with Jordan de Luxe, the widow of Bernard Tapie explained that she supported herself thanks to her husband's deputy pension and other small sources of income. “I live on half of his MP pension which was 2,400 euros, so 1,200 euros. […] In total, I have 1,700, 1,800 euros”explained the one who can count on her son Laurent to pay her rent. “I no longer live in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, I moved. It was beyond my means”she revealed. Finally, Dominique Tapie had to part with several valuable objects. “I sold bags, jewelry, everything that was left to me, personal things”she concluded.
