Eric Naulleau gave a very candid opinion on the jury of Miss France 2025. Guest of the show presented by Pascale de la Tour this Monday, December 2, he did not mince his words.
On December 14, the Miss France 2025 election will be broadcast with a 100% female jury chaired by Sylvie Vartan, sparking reactions in particular from Eric Naulleau.
Eric Naulleau strongly criticizes the exclusively female composition of the jury, believing that this reflects societal regression and superficial marketing.
Eric Naulleau gave a very blunt opinion, stating in particular that it would be normal and logical to also have a man on this jury.
It's a competition that gets a lot of attention every year. On December 14, the Miss France 2025 election will be broadcast on television. An evening eagerly awaited by viewers who hope that their favorite candidate will succeed Eve Gilles. For the second year in a row, the competition jury will be made up of 100% women, with Sylvie Vartan as president of this edition. Enough to make Eric Naulleau react on the set of the show presented by Pascale de la Tour this Monday, December 2. He did not hesitate to give a very blunt opinion, going very far in his remarks.
Eric Naulleau began his speech by declaring: “The jury is chaired by Sylvie Vartan, I am an absolute fan”. If the presence of the singer delights him, it is everything else which, according to him, needs to be reviewed. “For the rest, everything is catastrophic. First, it smacks of a completely cheap marketing idea that has already been done,” he declared. For Eric Naulleau, we are in a “period of incredible regression” with a separation of men and women. “Each sex on one side and we don’t mix”, he continued. According to him, the presence of a man on the jury for this program would have been beneficial and he does not understand this choice.
Eric Naulleau: a very positive opinion on the Miss France jury
Eric Naulleau fully intended to provide explanations for his opinion. “The history of civilization is, on the contrary, that men and women share public space and I see that now… There you go,” he continued. However, according to him, the separation between men and women is not the only problem that the choice of a 100% female jury highlights. “It’s not presented like that but there is a bit of that: any way a man looks at a woman is problematic,” he declared before adding: “Any way a man looks at a woman is a bit criminal.”
Eric Naulleau affirms: this gap highlights an important social problem. “It’s presented in a light appearance but that’s the essence,” he declared before asserting: “Men need to stop looking at women.” However, Eric Naulleau recalls that it is a “of life's great pleasures, it's free and it works both ways”. For him, it is normal for a man to look at a woman, as well as the opposite, as long as it is something benevolent. “Women like to look at men and vice versa”, he concluded, again deploring the lack of men on the jury.
Miss France 2025: a 100% female jury
Pour this new edition of the competition, it is a 100% female jury which will judge the candidates before designating the new Miss France. The president will be Sylvie Vartan and she will be accompanied by Flora Coquerel, former Miss France and elected third runner-up to Miss Universe in 2015. There will also be Cristina Cordula, Marie-José Pérec, Nawell Madani, Fauve Hautot and, finally, Khatia Buniatishvili. An evening which is eagerly awaited by viewers and candidates. But who will succeed Eve Gilles?
